President mourns death of ex-MP Manzur Bachchu
DHAKA, Feb 17, 2019 (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid today expressed deep
shock and sorrow at the death of valiant freedom fighter Manzur Ahmed
Bachchu, former Member of Parliament (MP) from Kishoreganj.
In a condolence message, the President prayed for eternal peace of the
departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
“At his death, the inhabitants of Kishoreganj lost a dedicated political
personality. . . This death is really irreparable loss to country’s politics,” the
head of the state added.
Bachchu, who was elected lawmaker in 1970 and 1973, died of old-age
complications at a hospital in a Dhaka hospital at the age of 82.
