DHAKA, Feb 17, 2019 (BSS) -The first parliamentary standing committee’s meeting on Environment, Forest and Climate Change Ministry of the 11th National Parliament was held today at Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban discussing over “Brick Making and Brickfield Establishment (Control) (Amendment) Bill 2019”.
Parliamentary Standing Committee’s Chairman Saber Hossain Chowdhury presided over the meeting, a press release said.
At the beginning of the meeting, the newly elected committee members exchanged greetings with the officials, it added.
Committee members Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin, Md Mozammel Hossain, Dipankar Talukder, Nazim Uddin Ahmed, Jafar Alam and Md Rezaul Karim Bablu attended the meeting.
The watchdog committee had detailed review of the “Brick Making and Brickfield Establishment (Control) (Amendment) Bill 2019” during the meeting.
After the discussion, they recommended to bring amendments, addition, correction and expansion regarding this Bill for the next parliamentary meeting.
Environment, Forest and Climate Change Ministry additional secretaries and the concerned high officials of the JS Secretariat were present at the meeting.
