Sadhan urges officials to brighten up govt image
NAOGAON, Feb 16, 2019 (BSS) – Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder today
urged officials to brighten up government’s image staying away from
corruption and establishing good governance through serving countrymen.
The minister came up with the call while inaugurating the 31st annual
sports competition for government officials and their children around 11 am
here.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Mizanur Rahman presided over the inaugural
function while Superintendent of Police (SP) Md Iqbal Ahmed addressed the
event as the special guest.
Sadhan said Bangladesh has forwarded much with overall development under
the dynamic leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur
Rahman’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
There is now a necessity of building corruption, terrorism and militancy
free Bangladesh by establishing good governance, he said, adding that the
government has given enough facilities to the government officials.
“If Bangabandhu was not born, the country would have not been liberated.
We could not be ministers and you could not be DCs or SPs. So, it is the
responsibility of all of us to build a safe country for the next generation,”
the minister said.
Later, the minister visited the food office located at Manda Upazila and
local godown in the district.
District Food Officer Md Kamal Hossain, other government officials and
local political leaders accompanied the minister during the visit.
