Navy chief leaves for UAE today

DHAKA, Feb 15, 2019 (BSS) – The Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Abu
Mozaffar Mohiuddin Mohammad Aurangzeb Chowdhury left here for the United Arab
Emirates (UAE) this morning in a seven-day official visit to attend the Navy
Defence and Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX)-2019 and International
Defence Exhibition-2019.

Assistant Navy Chief (operations) and Navy Administrative authorities Dhaka
saw the navy chief off officially at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport
in the capital, said an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release.

While staying there, the navy chief will meet the Chiefs of the UAE and
other participating countries and discuss various bilateral issues with them.
The visit is expected to boost the bilateral relations and training
assistance between these countries.

During the visit, Mohammad Aurangzeb Chowdhury will participate various
state programmes including NAVDEX-2019 and IDEX-2019 organised on the
occasion. He will also visit the Bangladeshi war vessel “Dhaleshori” which
would be shown at the exhibition.

The Navy chief will return home on February 22.
