Hanif urges BNP to help advance country
DHAKA, Feb 14, 2019 (BSS) – Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif today called upon BNP to cooperate the government in taking ahead the country shunning their ill politics.
“There will be no benefit by making perplexing remarks to create disorders. If you want to do politics for people’s welfare, you should cooperate with the government,” he told a discussion of Swapno Foundation at the Jatiya Press Club VIP lounge to mark the upcoming International Mother Language Day.
Hanif urged BNP to evaluate their previous acts to takes steps for coming days to attain the people’s trust.
“BNP will not get any benefit by pushing the liability of own failures on other’s shoulders,” he said.
The AL leader said the party, whose top leaders are in jail as convicts and remaining fugitive abroad, has no ethical ground to raise voice in any issue.
“Now they have no issue that is why they are spreading falsehood over the December 30 national election to mislead the people,” he said.
Hanif urged the BNP leaders to go to court if they have any objection over the parliamentary election.
“But if BNP lodge a case, it should wait for disposal of the case before any taking move over the issue,” he said.
AL Information and Research Secretary Advocate Afjal Hossain, Dhaka City South AL General Secretary Shahe Alam Murad and AL Deputy Publicity and Publications Secretary Aminul Islam Amin addressed the discussion with Swapno Foundation Chairman Riaz Uddin in the chair.
