Two held with phensidyl in Ghoraghat
RANGPUR, Feb 14, 2019 (BSS) – Police seized 800 bottles of Indian phensidyl and arrested two presumed drug traders from Ghoraghat upazila in Dinajpur district today.
“Police challenged an onion-laden truck at Khetab Mour point on the Hili-Ghoraghat road and seized 800 bottles of phensidyl and arrested driver and helper of the truck from the spot,” Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ghoraghat Thana Amirul Islam said.
The arrested persons are driver of the truck Mahbub Rahman, 40, son of Hashem Ali and its helper Noor Islam, 45, son of Rabiul Islam, both hailing from Suihari area in Dinajpur district town.
A case was filed against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018 in this connection with Ghoraghat Thana police today, the OC added.
