Airbus posts 29% rise in 2018 net profit
PARIS, Feb 14, 2019 (BSS/AFP) – European aerospace giant Airbus reported
Thursday a net profit for 2018 of 3 billion euros ($3.4 billion) and said it
would deliver between 880 and 890 new commercial planes this year.
The earnings report came as Airbus announced it would pull the plug on its
costly A380 double-decker superjumbo after Dubai-based airline Emirates
reduced its order of the model.
