Kamal reaches Rome to attend IFAD’s council
DHAKA, Feb 13, 2019 (BSS) – Finance Minister A H M Mustafa Kamal arrived
at Rome today to attend the 42nd Session of the Governing Council of
International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
Bangladesh Ambassador to Italy Abdus Sobhan Sikder received the finance
minister at the airport, said a ministry press release.
Leaders and activists of Italy Awami League and expatriate Bangladeshis
were present on the occasion.
The two-day council would begin tomorrow with the theme “Rural Innovation
and Entrepreneurship” which is a key part of the IFAD11 Commitment to embrace
a culture of results and innovation.
Earlier, on Tuesday morning Kamal left here for Italy.
After wrapping up his five-day visit, the Finance Minister is likely to
return home on February 17.
