8 dwelling houses gutted in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Feb 13, 2019 (BSS)- At least eight dwelling houses were gutted
in a fire at Fateyapur village under Hathazari upazila of the district this
morning.
Jashim Uddin, deputy assistant director of Fire Service and Civil Defense
in Chattogram, said the fire originated from an electric short-circuit at a
dwelling house in the area around 5.05 am and quickly engulfed the adjoining
houses.
Two firefighting units from Hathazari upazila rushed to the spot and
brought the flame under control around 8.55 am.
Victims claimed that the fire damaged property worth about Taka seven
lakh, the source added.
