Businessman Liakat sued for corruption
DHAKA, Feb 11, 2019 (BSS) – Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today
lodged a case against a businessman Liakot Ali on charges of acquiring wealth
beyond known sources of income.
ACC assistant director Md Saiduzzaman filed the case with Ramna Model
Police Station on charges of amassing movable and immovable properties of
over Taka 2.57 crore beyond known sources of income.
In accordance with the case details, he concealed information of assets
of Taka one crore in the wealth statement submitted to the commission.
The case was filed under sections 26 (2) and 27 (1) of the Anti-
Corruption Commission Act, 2004.
