DHAKA, Feb 9, 2019 (BSS)- Rangpur Riders recruit South African batsman
Rilee Rossouw emerged as the most run-scoring batsman in the just concluded
6th edition of Bangladesh Premier League T20 that concluded on Friday.
The left-handed batsman Rossouw scored 558 runs from 14 matches including
one century and five half centuries with an impressive average of 69.75 while
champions Comilla Victorians opener Tamim Iqbal emerged as the highest run
scorer making 467 runs from 14 matches including one century and two half
centuries with an average of 38.91.
Chittagong Vikings skipper Mushfiqur Rahim became the third most run
scorer in the tournament making 426 from 13 matches including three half
centuries with an average of 35.50.
Sylhet Sixers batsman Nicholas Pooran become the fourth most run scorer in
BPL scoring 379 from 11 matches including three half centuries with an
average of 47.37 while Rajshahi Kings top order batsman Laurie Evans emerged
as the fifth most run sorer scoring 339 runs from 11 matches including a
century and two half centuries with an average of 37.66.
On the other hand, Comilla Victorians opener Tamim Iqbal emerged as the
highest scorer in the tournament making unbeaten 141 runs while Evin Lewis of
the champions team become the second high scorer scoring unbeaten 109 runs.
Rajshahi Kings opener Laurie Evans become the third high scorer in the
tournament making unbeaten 104 runs while Rangpur Riders batsman Rossouw
emerged as the fourth high scorer with unbeaten 100 runs.
Besides, Rangpur Riders South African batsman AB de Villers emerged as the
fifth high scorer in the tournament scoring also unbeaten 100 runs while Alex
Hales of the same team become the sixth high scorer in the tournament also
scoring 100 runs.
Sylhet Sixers batsman Nicholas Pooran hit highest sixes in tournament
smashing 28 sixes from 11 matches while the second position went to Dhaka
Dynamites batsman Andre Russell who has 18 sixes from 15 matches.
Rossouw of Rangpur Riders grabbed the third spot hitting 24 sixes in the
tournament from 14 matches while Tamim Iqbal of Comilla Victorians booked the
fourth position as he hit 23 sixes from 14 matches.
Chittagong Vikings skipper Mushfiqur Rahim booked the fifth position as he
hit 18 sixes from 13 outings.
Besides, Rangpur Riders middle order batsman AB de Villers grabbed the
sixth spot as he hit 17 sixes in the tournament.
Rangpur Riders’ Rossouw also grabbed the first position as he has the
impressive highest average of 69.75 in the tournament while AB de Villers of
the same team bagged the second position with an average of 61.75.
Chittagong Vikings South African recruit Robbie Frylinck has the third
highest average in the tournament with 57.00 Lewis of Comilla Victorians
secured the fourth position with a average 54.60.
Sylhet Sixers Caribbean batsman Nicholas Pooran secured the fifth position
with an average of 47.37. On the other hand, Dhaka Dynamites skipper Shakib
Al Hasan emerged as the most wicket taker in the tournament taking 23 wickets
from 15 matches with an average of 17.65 while Sylhet Sixers pacer Taskin
Ahmed became the second most wicket taker in the tournament picking up 22
wickets from 12 matches with an average of 14.45.
Rangpur Riders skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza bagged the third position as
he also claimed 22 wickets from 14 matches with an average of 17.59.
Dhaka Dynamites pacer Rubel Hossain emerged as the fourth most wicket
taker in the tournament taking 22 wickets from 15 matches with an average of
18.50 while Comilla Victorians bowler Mohammad Saifuddin bagged the fifth
spot taking 20 wickets from 13 matches.
Kamrul Islam Rabbi of Rajshahi Kings produced the best bowling figure in
an innings with four wickets giving away 10 runs from three overs while
Rangpur Riders’ skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza finished behind Rabbi also with
four wickets in an innings giving away 11 runs from 4 overs.
Besides, Robbie Frylinck of Chittagong Vikings, Sunil Narine of Dhaka
Dynamites, Shakib Al Hasan of Dhaka Dynamites and Ebadat Hossain of Sylhet
Sixers all took four wickets in an innings to finish third, fourth, fifth and
sixth position respectively.
