IU observes Nat’l Library Day
ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, Feb 5, 2019 (BSS) – The authority of Central Library of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia today observed the National Librabry Day on the campus with the slogan of “Read books in library to create enlightened people”.
Marking the day, a colorful procession was brought out from the administrative building premises with the participation of teachers, students and officials of the university. The procession ended at the central Library of the university after parading the main roads of the campus.
Later, a discussion was held at the central library. IU VC Professor Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari addressed the function as the chief guest.
Pro-VC Professor Dr M Shahinoor Rahman, Acting Registrar SM Abdul Latif were present as special guests with acting librarian M Ataur Rahman in the chair.
Professor Dr Mohammad Mamun of Economics department, Students’ Advisor Professor Dr Paresh Chandra Barman and acting Proctor Dr M Anisur
Rahman, among others, also addressed.
