Law minister terms Oikya Front’s unity as oil with water
DHAKA, Feb 5, 2019 (BSS) – Describing the unity of Jatiya Oikya Front as an ‘oil and water relation’, Law Minister Anisul Huq on Tuesday said “now it is natural that they will ignore each other”.
“Their agenda was personal. Why will they be sensitive to each other’s need when their agenda remained unfulfilled?” a press release quoted him as saying.
The minister was talking to journalists after attending an extended meeting of Kasba Upazila Awami League at the Upazila Parishad auditorium.
Regarding BNP’s decision to boycott the Upazila poll he said “they know people don’t like them. That’s why they’re trying to skip it, on one plea or another.”
Anisul said BNP does not desire the country’s progress through a democratic process.
Kasba Upazila Parishad chairman, Advocate Anisul Haque Bhuiyan and other local Awami league leaders were present, among others, at the meeting.
