Babla demands playground in his constituency
SANGSAD BHABAN, Feb 5, 2019 (BSS)- Jatiya Party member from Dhaka-4 Syed Abu
Hossain today informed the House that his constituency has no playground,
demanding to the the state minister for Youth and Sports for constructing a
playground or mini stadium there.
Responding to a question from the lawmaker, state minister for youth and
sports Zahid Ahsan Russell said the government at present has no plan to
construct any playground or mini stadium in the area.
However, the ministry might take initiative for constructing a modern
playground or mini stadium subject to availability of khas land.
Replying to a supplementary question the state minister said the ministry
would provide support to local sports clubs which are suffering from lack of
funds to arrange sports events.
Russell said the government has a plan to construct mini stadium in 491
upazilas, out of which construction of 131 stadium is progressing. Project
would be taken to construct more stadium during this fiscal year, he said.
