Schoolgirl killed in Uttara road crash
DHAKA, Feb 5, 2019 (BSS) – A class five female student of Milestone
School and College was killed in a road accident in the city’s Uttara area
this morning.
A speeding microbus (bearing number Dhaka Metro Cha 13-4157) of a drama
shooting unit rammed over the schoolgirl Faiza Tahsin Suchi, 10, in front of
the bridge of RAJUK apartment project at Uttara this morning, family sources
said.
The victim’s father Faijul Islam, assistant editor of the Bengali daily
Ittefaq, told newsmen that her daughter was going to school in Diabari area
to take part in examination,
The critically injured girl was rushed to nearby Bangladesh Medical
College Hospital where the attending physicians pronounced her dead. Her body
was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for postmortem.
Locals seized the microbus but its passengers including a television
actor and driver fled the scene.
Filing of a case to this respect is underway.
