Two crushed under train in Jamalpur
JAMALPUR, Feb 4, 2109 (BSS)- Two young men were crushed under the wheels
of an intercity train at Narundi Railway Station in the district last night.
The deceased were identified as Abdur Rahman, 24, son of Hamidur Rahman of
Baganbari village under Tulshir Char union in Jamalpur Sadar upazila and
Shimul Hossain, 22, son of Moazzem Hossain of the same village.
According to Jamalpur Railway Police, day labourers Shimul and Abdur
Rahman jumped out from a running train of Jamuna intercity and crushed under
the wheels of it around 10 pm as they mistakenly boarded on the train from
Mymensingh which has no stoppage at Narundi station.
In the accident, Shimul died on the spot while Abdur Rahman succumbed to
his injuries on way to the Jamalpur General Hospital, the sources added.
An unnatural death (UD) case was filed with Jamalpur Police Station in
this connection.
