Hong Kong stocks rise at open after Wall St records
HONG KONG, Jan 29, 2018 (BSS/AFP) – Hong Kong stocks rose at the opening
of trade Monday, following fresh records set by the three major US indices at
the end of last week.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.60 percent, or 198.63 points, to 33,352.75.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opened slightly higher, gaining
0.15 percent, or 5.51 points, to 3,563.64, while the Shenzhen Composite
Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, dipped 0.10 percent,
or 1.86 points, to 1,948.35.
