SANGSAD BHABAN, Feb 3, 2019 (BSS) – Rajdhani Unnayan Katripakha (RAJUK) has
decided to construct flyover from Shantinagar to Mawa road (Jhilmil) by 2022
under Public Private Partnership (PPP) method.
“Three organizations have been recommended for short list and the RAJUK would
issue RFP soon out of the six firms,” Housing and Public Works Minister SM
Rezaul Karim told this, while replying to a starred question from treasury
bench member Didarul Alam of Chattagram-4 in the Jatiya Sangsad today.
He said the six firms submitted Request for Quotation (RFQ) for implementation
of the project, as the finance ministry approved the proposal for viability
gap financing (VGF) at Taka 534.72 crore.
Earlier, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) in principle
approved the project on January 9, 2013 to implement under PPP method, adding,
“On June 6, 2018, the finance ministry approved the proposal for allocating
Taka 534.72 crore as VGF.”
