BNP to embrace fate of Muslim League: Hanif
DHAKA, Feb 03, 2019 (BSS) – Awami League joint general secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif, MP, today said if BNP continues its current trend of politics, it will surely embrace the fate of Muslim League.
“BNP would face further political turmoil if it continues moving on the current path. They are still making rounds in negative politics. By refusing the invitation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, they again proved that they could not able to come out of negative politics,” Hanif said.
The Awami League leader said these while addressing a memorial meeting on former general secretary of Bangladesh Awami League Syed Asharaful Islam at National Press Club here.
Organized by Swapna Foundation, the meeting was also addressed by Awami League joint general secretary and Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni, Adv Mojibul Haque, MP, Nurul Amin Ruhul, MP, Dhaka South Awami League general secretary Shahe Alam Murad and Md Anwarul Kabir, among others.
“By refusing the invitation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, BNP and Oikya Front leaders have showed political discourtesy. They have also lost the opportunity for further talks,” Hanif added.
Criticizing BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam for his ‘crocodile tears’ for war criminals and corrupts, Hanif said where he (Fakhrul) was when innocents were burned alive in the name of movement.
