BJMC allows mills to procure loose jute
DHAKA, Feb 3, 2019 (BSS)-Jute mills under Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) will now be able to purchase loose jute along with bale jute as the authorities published a circular to this effect on January 31.
But mills will not be allowed to purchase loose jute from agencies, said a BJMC press release today.
BJMC took this decision in its board meeting for the smooth running of its jute mills.
“Mills will now be able to purchase loose jute along with the bale at mill terminals and this decision has been taken to meet the demand of jute growers and small jute traders,” said the BJMC.
