Govt to take projects for welfare of insolvent film artistes
DHAKA, Feb 03, 2019 (BSS) – The government will take different projects and implement those for the welfare of the insolvent film artistes through a welfare trust.
This was disclosed at a meeting to review the Bangladesh Film Artist Welfare Trust Act draft held at the meeting room of the Information Ministry with Information Secretary Abdul Malek in the chair, said an official handout here.
The meeting discussed the draft law elaborately and said the ministry would take different initiatives for the welfare of the insolvent artistes through this trust.
Cultural personalities Syed Hasan Imam and Nasir Uddin Yousuf, actors Alamgir, Ferdous Ahmed and actress Rozina and director Morshedul Islam, among others, were present in the meeting.
