Body of youth recovered in Netrakona
NETRAKONA, Feb 2, 2019 (BSS) – Police recovered the body of a young boy
from river Kangso in Baushi bazar area under Barhatta upazila of the district
today.
Police sources said the deceased was identified as Abdul Halim, 14, son of
Habibur Rahman of village Muadi under Barhatta upazila. The boy used to work
at a tea stall in Baushi bazar.
Family sources said the victim reportedly remained missing since Friday
last. On receiving information, a police team from Barhatta police station
rushed to the spot and recovered the body from the river behind the bazar
area. The body was sent to Netrakona Sadar hospital morgue for post mortem.
Officer-in-charge (investigation) of Netrakona Sadar police station
confirmed the incident and said the actual cause of the youth’s death could
not be ascertained immediately.
A case will be filed in this connection.
