DHAKA, Feb 2, 2019 (BSS) – Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs
Minister Anisul Huq today laid emphasis on ensuring standard education to
turn Bangladesh a developed nation by 2041.

“It is our national duty to create opportunities of getting standard
education for all, but it is very hard for the government to do it alone. So
the matter would get due precedence if the private organizations and
personalities come forward alongside the government,” he said.

The minister came up with the observations while addressing a function
organized on the occasion of handing over scholarships among around four
thousand meritorious students by Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) at Shaheed
Suhrawardy Indore Stadium this morning.

“We have to keep in mind that education can make us survive in this
competitive world and that’s why we have given emphasis on education. It is
not possible to create well-educated and efficient human resource without
modern and standard education system. So the government of Sheikh Hasina has
adopted education as the main tool to create poverty-free Bangladesh,” the
minister added.

Presided over by DBBL governing body chairman Sayem Ahmed, the function
was also addressed by Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir, DBBL managing
director Abul Kashem Md Shirin.
