DHAKA, Feb 1, 2019 (BSS) – A petrol team of the Rapid Action Battalion
(RAB) arrested four members of banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team
(ABT) from city’s Uttara area early today.
The arrestees are M Shahriar Nafis alias M Ammar Hossen, 20, M Russel alias
Sajedul Islam Gifari, 24, M Rabiul Islam alias Nurul Islam, 24 and M Abdul
Maleque, 31.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-1 conducted drive at city’s Uttara area
around 2am last night and arrested the four active members of the militant
group, according to an official release.
The RAB also recovered some Jihadi books, mobile and sharp weapons from
their possession.
The arrestees were involved in a plot to kill some renowned personalities
and online activists.
