Journo’s house looted in city
DHAKA, Jan 31, 2019 (BSS) – Miscreants looted eight bharies of gold and cash Taka 15,000 from the residence of journalist Refayet Ullah Mirdha at Noorjahan Road in city’s Mohammadpur area on Wednesday.
“We were outside of Dhaka to attend a family programme. Being informed from neighbors, we rushed to our apartment on the fourth floor of 2/2, Noorjahan Road, Mohammadpur and found the door lock was broken and eight bharies of gold ornaments and cash Tak 15000 have been stolen,” Mirdha, a senior staff reporter of the Daily Star, told BSS today.
Officer-in-charge of Mohammadpur police station Ganesh Gopal Biswas said a case has been lodged with the police station in this regard. Police have visited the rooms and they are looking into the incident, he added.
