DHAKA, Jan 31, 2019 (BSS) – Newly elected Awami League lawmaker from Gaibandha-3 constituency Dr Md Yunus Ali Sarker was sworn in today at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban here.
JS Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury administered the oath to the newly elected member of parliament (MP).
Deputy Speaker Md Fazle Rabbi Mia, Whips Iqbalur Rahim and Abu Sayeed Al Mahmud Swapan were present on the occasion.
Senior Secretary of Jatiya Sangsad Dr Zafar Ahmed Khan conducted the ceremony. The parliamentary election to Gainbandha-3 constituency was held on January 27 as earlier the election to this constituency was postponed due to the sudden death of Oikya Front candidate Dr TIM Fazley Rabbi Chowdhury on December 19.
Voting for the 11th general polls took place in other constituencies on December 30 last year.
