Govt to root out corruption, terrorism: Khasru
NETRAKONA, Jan 31, 2019 (BSS)-State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru today said the present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is determined to root out crime, terrorism, drug abuse and corruption from the country for steering the nation towards progress and prosperity.
He urged all to say “no” to corruption, terrorism and drug abuse to build the country as “Sonar Bangla” which is free from hunger and poverty, as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Khasru was addressing the inaugural ceremony of a four-day Agriculture and Technology Fair-2019 on the premises of Netrakona sadar upazila parishad as the chief guest.
Netrakona district administration and district Agriculture Extension Department (AED) jointly organized the fair to inform people about the agricultural innovation for boosting food production and ensuring food security.
The function was addressed, among others, by deputy commissioner of Netrakona Main-UL-Islam, mayor of Netrakona pourasava Nazrul Islam Khan and chairman of Netrakona sadar upazila SM Kamrul Hasan with deputy director of the district AED Habibur Rahman in the chair.
A total of 20 colorful stalls of different agricultural products, saplings of various timber, herbal and fruit-bearing trees, agricultural and irrigational machineries were put on display at the fair.
Later, the state minister visited the stalls and exchanged views with farmers.
