UAE naval force commander calls on Navy Chief

DHAKA, Jan 30, 2019 (BSS) – Commander of United Arab Emirates (UAE) Naval
Forces, Rear Admiral Sheikh Saeed Bin Hamdan Al-Nahyan today paid a courtesy
call on Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral AMMM Aurangzeb Chowdhury at the
Navy Headquarters here.

Assistant Navy Chief (operations) Rear Admiral M Mokbul Hossain welcomed
the UAE Naval Force Commander on his arrival at the Navy Headquarters. A
smartly turned out contingent of Bangladesh Navy gave him guard of honor, an
ISPR release said.

During the call on, Bangladesh Navy Chief Vice Admiral AMMM Aurangzeb
Chowdhury exchanged greetings with Rear Admiral Sheikh Saeed Bin Hamdan Al-
Nahyan and thanked him for his visit to Bangladesh.

During the meeting the Navy Chief laid emphasis on further strengthening
the relationship between the two brotherly nations. The two navy chiefs also
discussed ways to develop mutual relationship, means to strengthen
professional efficiency, and make maritime research stronger, among other
issues.

Earlier, in the morning, Commander of the UAE Naval Forces Rear Admiral
Sheikh Saeed Bin Hamdan Al-Nahyan paid tribute to the members of Armed
Forces, who made their supreme sacrifices during the War of Liberation, by
placing a wreath at the Shikha Anirban in Dhaka Cantonment here. He also
signed the visitor’s book there.
