DHAKA, Jan 30, 2019 (BSS) – The government is going to open a hotline for
monitoring labour situation in the garment industry.
State Minister for Labour and Employment Begum Monnujan Sufian will
formally inaugurate the hotline at the CIRDAP auditorium tomorrow at 12noon,
an official release said.
The Labour and Employment Ministry sources said the government is taking
initiative for launching the hotline to receive all sorts of complains in the
garment sector. Besides, 29 committees have been set up in labour intensive
areas of garment sector.
These committees will visit garment factories to inspect the overall
situation in garment factories located in Gazipur, Narayanganj, Khulna,
Sylhet, Chattogram and Habiganj.
