DHAKA, Jan 30, 2019 (BSS) – Speakers at a roundtable discussion here today
laid stress on the significant role of mass media in promoting flight safety
in the aviation sector of the country.
Novoair, one of the country’s private airlines, organized the discussion
titled ‘Role of Media, Promoting Airline Safety’ with the participation of
aviation journalists at a city hotel on Tuesday.
“Media can play a unique role in enhancing aviation safety by publishing
investigative news,” said Managing Director of Novoair Mofizur Rahman.
Media’s role is inevitable in increasing public awareness for areas like
airport infrastructure, air traffic management and formulating updated rules
and regulation, he said.
Chief of Safety of Novoair Limited Captain Ashfaq Ur Rahman shared
important safety aspects with the journalists at the programme.
