Motijheel Govt Primary School headmaster suspended over graft charges
DHAKA, Jan 29, 2019 (BSS) – Primary and Mass Education Ministry today
suspended headmaster of Motijheel Government Primary School Nurjahan Hamida
following an allegation of taking additional money for admission purpose from
the students without giving vouchers.
The ministry has taken the decision following a request of the Anti-
Corruption Commission (ACC) as it has found the allegation true of taking
Taka 1000 to 1500 from the students without vouchers.
ACC conducted the sudden drive at Motijheel Government Primary School this
morning after receipt of an allegation of taking extra money from the
admission seekers over its hotline 106.
The headmaster of the school has collected additional money of Taka 5.77
lakh this year from the admission seekers and has failed to show any document
of income and expenditure of the school.
After confirming the allegation against the headmaster true, Director
General (admin) of the ACC Mohammad Munir Hossain Chowdhury informed Primary
and Mass Education Ministry of the matter and requested to take action to
this end.
