ARREST-SATKHIRA
50 held in Satkhira
SATKHIRA, Jan 28, 2019 (BSS) – Police, in special drives arrested 50
persons from eight upazilas of the district in last 12-hour ending at 8am
this morning.
Sources with the district police said they were picked up from different
areas of the district.
During the drives, Satkhira Sadar police arrested 18 persons, Kalaroa Thana
police arrested five persons, Tala Thana police arrested seven persons,
Kaliganj Thana police arrested three persons, Shyamnagar Thana police
arrested three persons, Assasuni Thana police arrested seven persons,
Patkelghata Thana police arrested five persons and Debhata police arrested
two persons.
The arrested people are accused in several cases, including charges of
subversive activities, filed with different police stations in the district.
The arrested were sent to jail.
