Rejaul for building Bangabandhu’s ‘Sonar Bangla’ with Liberation War spirit

PIROJPUR, Jan 27, 2019 (BSS) – Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rejaul
Karim today said Bangabandhu dreamt ‘Sonar Bangla’ should be built with the
Liberation War spirit where no compromise would be taken place with corrupts,
terrorists, drug paddlers and war criminals.

“There is no compromise with corrupts, terrorists, drug paddlers and war
criminals. They must face trial whatever they are. But it should be
considered so that no innocent people face harassment in this regard,” he
said.

The minister made the remarks at a view-exchange meeting with leaders of
Awami League (AL) and its associate bodies, members of upazila council, civil
society members and freedom fighters at Swarupkati upazila in the district.

Swarupkati upazila AL President Abdul Hamid presided over the meeting
addressed, among others, by former Member of Parliament Principal Md Shah
Alam and former secretary M Shansul Haque.

Urging the government officials, public representatives and political
leaders to work with a mentality of serving the people, Rejaul said, “Prime
Minister Sheikh Hasina has given the assignment us to serve the people”.

He also urged all concerned for working as per the existing laws, with
transparency and honesty and staying away from nepotism.
