Navy chief pays tribute to Bangabandhu
DHAKA, Jan 27, 2019 (BSS) – Newly appointed Navy chief Vice Admiral Abu Mozaffar Mohiuddin Mohammad Aurangzeb Chowdhury today paid homage by placing wreaths at the portrait of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi and at the Shikha Anirban in Dhaka Cantonment.
Later, President of Bangladesh Navy Family Welfare Association (BNFWA) Begum Afroza Aurangzeb also paid homage by placing a wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu, an ISPR press release said.
Chief of Bangladesh Naval Staff Abu Mozaffar Mohiuddin Mohammad Aurangzeb Chowdhury was adorned with the rank of Vice Admiral today.
In presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Army Chief General Aziz Ahmed and Chief of Air Force Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat adorned the new navy chief with the badge of Vice Admiral rank.
Prime Minister’s Security Affairs Adviser Major General (Retd) Tarique Ahmed Siddique also was present on the occasion.
