Full-pledged list of freedom fighters by Mar 26
GAZIPUR, Jan 27, 2019 (BSS) – Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque has said a full-pledged list of freedom fighters will be announced by March 26 this year.
He made the announcement at a function at the Andarmanik Abdullah Model Public School and College at Kaliakair upazila in the district on Saturday.
Mozammel said, “BNP should accept verdict of the people in the 11th parliamentary election….. they (BNP) have failed to get favour of the people in the general election. So, the party should respect the verdict of the people.”
BNP is resorting to falsehood over the parliamentary election to misguide the people in the country, he added.
About participation of BNP in upcoming upazila polls, the minister said, “It is completely BNP’s internal matter.”
Leaders and activists of Kaliakair upazila unit of Awami League, representatives of local government bodies and officials concerned, among others, were present at the function.
