Govt to give Tk one lakh each victim’s family of Cumilla accident
DHAKA, Jan 26, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Labour and Employment Begum
Monnujan Sufian announced to provide financial assistance for the deceased
workers who were killed when a coal-laden truck overturned at
Chouddagram upazila in Cumilla on Friday.
“Under the Ministry of Labor and Employment, the Bangladesh Labor Welfare
Foundation Fund will provide Taka one lakh for each deceased families and
Taka 50,000 for injured workers for medical treatment,” the Minister said via
an official release received here today.
Thirteen brick kiln workers were killed and four others injured when the
coal-laden truck overturned on a labour shed at a brick field in Chouddagram
Upazila’s Narayanpur on Friday.
