Farhad for corruption-free Meherpur district
MEHERPUR, Jan 26, 2019 (BSS) – The State Minster for Public Administration Farhad Hossain today said Meherpur would be a corruption-free district of the country.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a view-exchange meeting with the district’s government employees at the Conference Room of the Deputy Commissioner in the town.
Meherpur Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Ataul Gani chaired the meeting while Police Super Mostafizur Rahman, Civil Surgeon Shamim Ara Naznin, Executive Engineer Mokter Hossain and Principal of Meherpur Govt College Shafiul Azom were present, among others.
The minister recalled that the provisional government of Bangladesh was formed in Mujibnagar in 1971. That government had led Bangladesh during the nine-month war against the Pakistani soldiers, he added.
Earlier, the Minister inaugurated a three-day ‘Krishi Mela 2019’ in the town. Fourteen stalls have been set up at the agriculture fair.
