Big win for Dhaka United in DIV. I Hockey
DHAKA, Jan 26, 2019 (BSS)-Dhaka United Club recorded a massive 8-1 goal
victory over Shantinagar Sporting Club in a match of the Green Delta
Insurance First Division Hockey League held on Saturday at Maulana Bhashani
National Hockey Stadium.
In the day’s match, Imran Ahmed Sohel scored four goals while Arafat
Hossain Piyal and Raju Ahmed Topu netted two goals each for Dhaka United.
Shahed Hasan scored the consolation goal for Shantinagar.
Earlier, in the day’s first match held at the same venue, Bachelors
Sporting Club defeated Mukto Bihongo Tarun Sangha by 4-2 goals.
In the day’s match, Rashedul Islam, Kayed Ahmed Apon, Meheruzzaman and
Mohammad Rabbi netted one goal each for the winners while Al Islam Rubel and
Tuhin Hossain scored one goal apiece for the losers.
