3 bodies recovered after Buriganga boat capsize
DHAKA, Jan 26, 2019 (BSS) – Divers recovered bodies of three persons of a
family and a minor is still missing as a boat capsized in the Buriganga River
on Friday night.
The deceased were identified as Motiur Rahman Moti, 50, his wife Rozina
Begum, 42, and Momtaz Begum, 48.
The bodies were sent to the Mitford Hospital morgue.
Police official said the boat, carrying four members of a family, sank in
the river after being hit by a launch, ‘MV-Manik – 3’, around 10:30 pm.
The bodies of Rozina and Momtaz were recovered from the river around
midnight while that of Motiur around 7 am this morning, police said.
Motiur’s son Abid, 5, remained missing till filing the report at 4.45 pm.
