Youth’s participation needed for prospering Bangladesh: Shahriar
RAJSHAHI, Jan 26, 2019 (BSS)- State Minister for Foreign Affairs
Shahriar Alam, MP, has said massive participation of young generation is very
important towards attaining prosperity of Bangladesh.
He said the youth forces have already started building Digital
Bangladesh through their learning and earning activities.
“Present government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is extending all
support towards them so that they could build themselves as ICT-based income-
generators,” he further said while addressing a workshop here today as the
chief guest.
Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) organized the
workshop titled “Youths Power is Prosperity of Bangladesh” at Circuit House
premises with the main thrust of investment expansion for building a
prosperous Bangladesh.
State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP, addressed the workshop as
special guest with Commissioner of Rajshahi division Nur-Ur-Rahman in the
chair.
Chief Coordinator (SDG) of Prime Minister’s office Abul Kalam Azad,
Agriculture Secretary Md Nasiruzzaman, BIDA Executive Chairman Kazi Aminul
Islam and cultural personality Zahid Hassan also spoke.
Shahriar Alam said the government has been implementing various
programmes across the country to create opportunities for earning foreign
currency through online outsourcing. ‘Freelancing is an extremely prospective
sector worldwide and now it is getting popularity in our country,’ he added.
In his remarks, Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that the government has started
running its major sectors like power and energy, industry, banking, health,
education, and economy through digital technology providing services to the
people in a proper and expedited manner.
He told the meeting that ‘Rajshahi Bangabandhu Silicon City’ is being
established in Rajshahi within near future with a view to achieving a set of
specific mission and vision of establishing a world class business
environment for targeted high growth industrial sector and new business.
Around 14,000 youths will get job there.
