Tokyo’s Nikkei index closes down for third straight session
TOKYO, Jan 24, 2019 (BSS/AFP) – Tokyo’s benchmark Nikkei index fell for the
third consecutive session on Thursday in cautious trade amid a lingering
sense of uncertainty over the outlook for the global economy.
The Nikkei 225 index was down 0.09 percent or 19.09 points to close at
20,574.63, but the broader Topix index rose 0.36 percent or 5.57 points to
1,552.60.
