One held with 1,103 bottles of phensidyl in Rangpur
RANGPUR, Jan 23, 2019 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-13) seized 1,103
bottles of smuggled phensidyl and arrested a presumed drug trader from a
village in Pirganj upazila of the district last night.
“On a tip off, an operational team of the elite force held a shallow
engine-driven trolley, seized the smuggled phensidyl and arrested the drug
trader from Bhagbanpur village on the Pirganj-Birampur road,” a RAB press
release said here today.
The arrested drug trader is Joynul Islam, 36, of village Uttar Daudpur in
Birampur upazila of nearby Dinajpur district.
However, three other drug traders Yunus Ali, 40, and Abdur Razzaque, 42,
of village Uttar Daudpur and Wahab alias Kajol, 35, of village Madhupur in
Birampur upazila of Dinajpur managed to escape during the RAB drive.
Arrested Joynul admitted his involvement in trading of drugs and narcotics
substances like phensidyl, ganja, Yaba tablets and heroin for a long time,
the release added.
