DHAKA, Jan 22, 2019 (BSS) – Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed profound shock at the death of noted musician and freedom fighter Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul.
In a condolence message, the minister said the death of Imtiaz Bulbul is an irreparable loss. He will be remembered for ever by the countrymen, he added.
Recalling to his outstanding contribution in the cultural arena, Hasan said, “We lost a real patriot and a devoted musician.”
He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
In another condolence message, Secretary of the Information Ministry Abdul Malek also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Bulbul.

Bulbul, the Ekushey Padak winner, breathed his last early today following a cardiac arrest at his Aftabnagar residence in the city at the age of 63.
Bulbul joined the Liberation War in 1971. He also achieved National Film Award and the President Award.
