ARREST-SATKHIRA
39 held in Satkhira
SATKHIRA, Jan 22, 2019 (BSS) – Police, in special drives arrested 39
persons from eight upazilas of the district in last 12-hour ending at 8am
this morning.
Sources with the district police said they were picked up from different
areas of the district.
During the drives, Satkhira Sadar police arrested eight persons including a
drug trader along with 20 pieces of Yaba tablets, Kalaroa Thana police
arrested four persons, Tala Thana police arrested four persons, Kaliganj
Thana police arrested five persons, Shyamnagar Thana police arrested five
persons, Assasuni Thana police arrested four persons, Patkelghata Thana
police arrested five persons and Debhata police arrested four persons.
The arrested people are accused in several cases, including charges of
subversive activities, filed with different police stations in the district.
The arrested were sent to jail.
