DMP files 4,172 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Jan 19, 2019 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Wednesday
filed 4,172 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule
violation.
It also realized Taka 20.83 lakh as fine for traffic rule violation, said
an official release.
Of the total, 848 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 82 for
using hydraulic horn, two for using hotter and beckon light and four others
for using tinted glass.
Police filed 1,726 cases against motorcycles and seized 74 others for
violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 15 vehicles and wrecked 456 others.
