1st Div. Hockey League begins tomorrow
DHAKA, Jan 19, 2019 (BSS) – The Green Delta Insurance First Division Hockey
League will begin tomorrow (Sunday) at the Moulana Bhasani National Hockey
Stadium with two matches are billed for the opening day.
On the day’s first match, PWD Sporting Club will take on Shantinagar
Sporting Club at 1:30 pm while Dhaka Railway will meet Dilkusha Sporting Club
at 3:30 pm in the day’s another opening day’s fixture.
Youth and Sports Ministry Secretary Mohammad Abdullah is expected to
inaugurate the league as the chief guest while league sponsor Green Delta
Insurance Company Limited advisor Nasir Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury will be present
there as the special guest.
A total of eleven clubs will take part in the league sponsored by
Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) long time alley Green Delta Insurance
Company Limited.
The participating clubs are PWD Sporting Club, Farashganj Sporting Club,
Mukta Bihanga Tarun Sangha, Hockey Dhaka United Club, Bachelors Sporting
Club, Shishukishor Sangha, Barnak Samaj, Shantinagar Sporting Club and
Dilkusha Sporting Club.
