NETRAKONA, Jan 17, 2019 (BSS) – The state minister for fisheries and
livestock Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru said the journalists can play an important
role to keep the people free from all sorts of confusion and false propaganda
by highlighting the truth through projecting objective reports.
“Journalists as a mirror of the society… They can play a vital role to
uphold the truth and highlight the actual picture of the society to let the
people know about the fact and keep the people away from falsehoods or
confusion” he said.
The Minister was addressing as chief guest at a views-exchanging meeting
with local journalists at Netrakona press club of the district here last
night.
With Netrakona Deputy Commissioner and the ex-officio President of the
Netrakona press club Main-UL-Islam in the chair, the views-exchanging meeting
was addressed, among others, by Netrakona Police Super Joydeb Chowdhory,
Mayor of Netrakona Pourasava Nazrul Islam Khan, senior journalists Shamolendu
Paul, M Faqrul Haque and Haider Jahan Chowdhory.
