Auto-rickshaw driver killed in Chandpur accident
CHANDPUR, Jan 11, 2019 (BSS) – A CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver was killed
and five others were injured in a road accident on Chandpur- Cumilla Road in
Haji Super Market area of the town today.
The deceased was identified as Osman Goni Anik, 18, of Korband village
under Matlab upazila of the district.
Local people said the accident occurred when a truck collided head-on with
the auto-rickshaw in the area this morning, leaving driver Anik dead on the
spot and injuring others.
The wounded, passengers of the auto-rickshaw, were sent to local clinics.
Police seized the truck.
