PM takes country to higher level of dev: Khalid
DHAKA, Jan 10, 2018 (BSS) – State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud
Chowdhury toady said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken the country to
the higher level of development and urged everyone to work to maintain pace
of development.
The newly appointed state minister made the remarks at a reception held at
his secretariat office here.
Lauding the unprecedented success of the ministry in the last 10 years,
Khalid said shipping ministry, including its different wings-Chattogram,
Mongla and Payra ports as well as river and land ports, has been playing
significantly role to the overall development of the country.
Referring to the election manifesto of Awami League, Khalid also the
organising secretary of ruling the party said, “We will work for implementing
the election manifesto in line with the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina.”
Terming the national polls held on December 30 last year as a turning point
for country’s development, the state minister said, “There is no alternative
to the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in building a prosperous
country dreamt by Bangabandhu.”
With Shipping Secretary M Abdus Samad in the chair, senior officials of the
ministry spoke at the ceremony.
