Annual sports competition of DU AF Rahman hall held
DHAKA, Jan 9, 2019 (BSS) – Annual sports competition of Dhaka University’s
(DU) Sir AF Rahman Hall was held today on the central playground of the
university amid festivity.
Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the
competition as the chief guest in the morning while DU Treasurer Prof Dr Md
Kamal Uddin distributed prizes among the winners in the afternoon.
Md Shahin Alam, a fourth-year BA (Hons) student of the Department of Urdu
emerged champion in the competition.
Besides, Rasel Mia, a fourth-year BSS (Hons) student of the Department of
Criminology and Md Arif Hossain, a fourth-year B.Ed (Hons) student of the
Institute of Education and Research became joint runners-up in this
competition.
Provost of Sir AF Rahman Hall Prof Dr KM Saiful Islam Khan presided over
the functions.
Director of Physical Education Center Prof Dr M Ziaul Haq Mamun, President
of DU Athletics Comittee Prof Dr Md Nizamul Haq Bhuyan, teachers, students
and other officials of the university were present on the occasion.
